An Iron Age drystone tower damaged yesteryear Victorian archaeologists is to live on conserved.
The ruins of Ousdale Burn Broch, northward of Helmsdale inwards Caithness, has fallen into farther disrepair over the final 120 years.
A wall well-nigh the entrance to the broch has collapsed in addition to a tree is growing within the structure.
Archaeological charity Caithness Broch Project has secured £180,000 of funding towards its conservation.
